Duncan Phillips: Drummer for the Newsboys!

This week Amy and Mike interview one of the most energetic and "upside down" guests ever - Duncan Philips for the Newsboys.

Duncan Phillips is an Australian pop/rock drummer, percussionist, keyboardist, and composer. He is best known for his career with the Newsboys as their drummer and percussionist. Phillips' involvement with musical performance began in the 80's with a band he had in Queensland, Australia, which played for local youth groups. After moving to the U.S., Phillips joined the Newsboys in 1993 as a keyboardist. Phillip's role as a keyboardist only lasted for one album, "Going Public". After that he played as the band's main drummer and percussionist, and has remained as a part of the Newsboys ever since.

Ellie Holcomb - Don't Forget to Remember

Ellie Holcomb - Don't Forget to Remember

This week on the podcast, Amy and Mike interview sign, songwriter and author Ellie Holcomb about her new book Don't Forget to Remember.

In this delightful board book, Ellie Holcomb uses rhyme and beauty to remind young readers of comforting truths from God. When they see snowflakes fall, they can remember that God made each of us as one of a kind. If they hear the waves crash to shore again and again, they’ll recall that God’s love never runs out. High and low, on sad days and glad days, creation reminds us that God’s love is ever present. Ellie ends her comforting reminder with a message for hearts young and old . . . “And even on days you forget what is true, don’t forget to remember God won’t forget you.”

Singer-songwriter—and now author—Ellie Holcomb began her musical career touring the country with her husband in the Americana band Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors. Her honest voice and rich lyrics shined on her first solo album and deemed her the Best New Artist at the 2014 Dove Awards. In 2017, she followed with the restorative, hope-inducing Red Sea Road. Ellie, her husband, Drew, and their three children live and make music in Nashville, Tennessee.
