Helps you bring your creation to life

Whether you want to publish your own roleplaying creation, or just make the best possible landscape for your table at home. The Forge will give you some great tips to make it possible. Entertaining and informative. Well worth the listen.

Good technical details but a little tiring to listen to

I appreciate the detail they go into when discussing game content and creating your own. Lots of cool stuff on talents, new archetypes, reskinning the magic system, etc. The hosts work fairly well together, too. I like Genesys and I’ve been GMing for a while, so it’s a good time for me building my own homebrew stuff.

However, I find most episodes have me skipping chunks regularly. There are only so many lame jokes and repetitive advice I can listen to. They also love paying out D&D whenever they can. I get it - you like Genesys, but you don’t have to keep reminding us that you think other games are boring, too mechanical, and not exciting enough with only narrative dice. Narrative dice are not the holy grail.

Edit: Four months later and I’m unsubscribing. See paragraph two above for reasons. I can only recommend this if you are completely new to Genesys and GMing and are having trouble creating your own stuff, or you are a veteran of D&D and have decided that it is bad and that Genesys is superior in every way.

A must!

A great new podcast for any Genesis system users or role players in general.
