    Binge Eating Disorder AKA BED is far more common and destructive than many people realise. It is often minimised or unnoticed but can have a massively negative effect on the sufferer.

    This episode is not intended to diagnose or take the place of qualified treatment. This episode is sharing anecdotal experience and intends to encourage listeners who may be experiencing BED to reach out to an appropriate support person such as their GP.     Binge eating is more than occasionally over eating, binge eating disorder can be distressing, out of control and cause significant psychological distress.

    Binge Eating is classified as
    +Eating unusually large amounts of food in a specific amount of time, such as over a two-hour period.
    +Feeling that your eating behavior is out of control.
    +Eating even when you're full or not hungry.
    +Eating rapidly during binge episodes.
    +Eating until you're uncomfortably full.
    +Frequently eating alone or in secret.

    It can be part of a binge, purge , over exercise and restrict cycle or if can exist without these other elements.

Consequences and punishment

Loved this episode! I feel I am a calm parent and I really enjoyed the clarification on these subjects. I loved that Kylie provided real life examples and also made sure that she clarified that parents aren’t perfect but we can work towards better calmer and loving parenting through inward work and reflection.
