Actionable Content
Mike presents interesting and actionable content. He has a depth of experience that will help your game but is open to new ideas and constantly learning. We’ll worth your time.
The format a DM podcast needs
Mike Shea is right on the money with the premise of this show - DM/GM advice I’ve come across before has rarely had a ‘deep dive’ scope and as such, is usually short on tangible, actionable tips.
DM’s Deep Dive skirts that pitfall completely. I’ve only been listening to the show for a day or so, and I’ve already learned a lot, both from Mike’s insights and those of his guests. It’s the kind of advice that slots neatly into campaigns I’m already running, as well as inspiring new threads of possibility for future campaigns and sessions. The tone is welcoming and non-judgemental, and the breadth of experiences from the show’s guests ensures that new DMs won’t feel excluded or talked down to.
If you’re looking for practical DMing advice that goes well beyond the shallow listicles and what-not-to-dos, Mike Shea DM’s Deep Dive should be your first port of call.
Masterful
Great stuff from one of the stalwarts of the genre. Recommended!
