Pretty boring, sometimes inappropriate tone.
I realise that true crime podcasts are meant to walk a line between education and entertainment, but this podcast is almost exclusively produced as entertainment. From the music, the pace and advertising it takes a tragic crime with contemporary victims and survivors and turns it into serialised entertainment. Pretty disappointing from what could otherwise be a fascinating discussion of foraging culture in Australia or viewed through the context of a history of other similar crimes globally.
Disappointed
I was eager to listen to this podcast, hoping it would reveal the true story behind the lunch tragedy that claimed three lives.
However, so far, it has predominantly focused on journalist and judicial processes rather than the incident itself.
I think you missed something
I have listened to all these episodes…I was amazed to hear that the alleged perpetrator has allegedly tried to kill her ex husband on a number of different occasions resulting in 3 charges of attempted murder. I’m even more surprised (maybe I shouldn’t be as this is a HS production) that NO ONE has referred to this as what it is a SERIES OF PREMEDITATED ACTS OF FAMILY VIOLENCE
