A Teen Boy Once Told Me A Classmate was Rapable, Here's What He Says About That Now
Recently, yet another Australian school has found itself in the midst of controversy surrounding the behaviour of some of their male students.
The students had created and circulated a spreadsheet with the names of their fellow female classmates. It included photos of the girls alongside a ranking system from wifeys, cuties, mids, objects, get out and unrapable.
When news broke about this, a lot of people asked why?
In this episode of The Quicky, we speak to a man who, as a teenager, said something horrific about a female peer, to find out why he said it, and what he thinks about it all these years later.

Top Show Thought Provoking!
I listen to this show everyday. It’s an invaluable part of my morning routine. I love how the topics are varied and have original thoughts. I really like when they go into further detail on a news story that I haven’t wrapped my head around.
Ok but not great
It’s great to have female driven news but I find there’s no intersectionality, no indigenous affairs and way way too much about the royals. There’s a limp acknowledgement of country at the start with no mention of who’s country they are on. They certainly could do better
Laughable
It’s like reading New Idea to get ‘the news’. Ignorant, white centric, privileged lens. This media organisation keeps cis white women in their superficial, comfortable place so that no change happens. Especially for minorities. Embarrassing. Would be embarrassing to work at this tabloid company.
