Why Winona Ryder Was Banished From Hollywood

Why Winona Ryder Was Banished From Hollywood

    On the show today…

After more than a decade away from our screens, Australian Idol is making a comeback and applications are now open for anyone who is keen to be the next Guy Sebastian or Jessica Mauboy. But the age range for audition applications has us raising our eyebrows.

Plus, Kourtney Kardashian and her husband Travis Barker have both released statements about his recent hospitalisation and health issues that have been making headlines since last week. In her statement, Kourtney also called out the paparazzi who sold false images of her during the ordeal.

And our favorite 90s actress turned Netflix star Winona Ryder is Harpers Bazaar’s new cover star with an interview entitled Winona Ryder Is Still Processing. In the cover story, Winona talks about going from being one of Hollywood's most critically acclaimed and bankable stars to being told: "you’re not even part of the conversation". And yet this interview barely touches on what really happened to Winona Ryder and why she was effectively banished from the industry for many years.

Why Everyone Really Hates Chris Pratt

Why Everyone Really Hates Chris Pratt

    On the show…

Musician R Kelly has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for sex trafficking women and girls. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, whose full name is Robert Sylvester Kelly,  was also convicted of racketeering and sex trafficking last year.

Plus, the first trailer for Julia Roberts and George Clooney's new rom-com Ticket To Paradise has been released, and we have a lot to say about it. The trailer has arrived at the same time news broke that another famous rom-com leading lady is coming out of retirement after nearly a decade away the scene. So what’s driving this new wave of rom-coms?

And Chris Pratt has given a new interview to Men’s Health addressing the growing hatred against him for the first time. In the interview, he talks about the backlash regarding his religion, family, and body but when it comes to the growing dislike of Chris Pratt, the story goes further than this.

Dakota Johnson's Finally Telling The Story Behind Her Most Controversial Role

Dakota Johnson's Finally Telling The Story Behind Her Most Controversial Role

    On the show today…

If there’s one fabulous Kardashian party we dream of being inhibited to, it’s a North West birthday extravagance. Let's talk about her recent celebration which included mum Kim Kardashian’s private plane, ziplines, and cute blood-covered tents.

Plus, Disney+ has released the first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated movie Hocus Pocus 2, which reunites our favourite sister witches Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as the beloved Sanderson sisters. But now we have to talk about the movie’s murky past and an awkward relationship brewing between two of the famous co-stars.

And Dakota Johnson covers the latest issue of Vanity Fair, in an interview that covers her famous family, her romance with Chris Martin, and her thoughts on the Fifty Shades of Grey movies which she now says were a nightmare to film. But reading between the lines of this interview we have to ask ourselves, how much do we really know about this beloved Hollywood nepo-baby and the life she’s trying to cover up.

I miss Kee!

This has been one of my all time fave podcasts but since Kee’s departure (yay for babies) the podcast just hasn’t been the same. I’ve found myself skipping through parts which has never happened and I just can’t feel myself warming to the new host.

Mean girls

Both girls were so bizarrely rude about Dakota Johnson? Not a single positive or even neutral thing said? Don’t like this bitter duo.

Sad

I LOVE all things MM but after listening to the Dakota Johnson podcast today I’m really sad. I thought the aim of MM was to improve the world for women and girls but this episode was constant snide remarks, put downs and general nastiness disguised behind laughter and all in good fun. Unfortunately instead of promoting female solidarity I think it perpetuated judgemental, uninformed and unnecessary nastiness. This podcast left me disappointed and disillusioned.
