It happens when tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of the uterus and in other areas in your body where it doesn't belong.     Symptoms include pain during or after intercorse, very painful menstrual cramps,  chronic pain in the lower back and pelvis, intestinal pain, painful bowel movements, bleeding, infertility or not being able to get pregnant and digestive problems.
