Awesome podcast, please make more!
Despite not being surgically oriented in my own career, this podcast offers great insights into professional medical life, career progression and different leadership styles.
Particularly fascinating was hearing about Prof Drummond’s personal background and pathway into neurosurgery. I love her practical attitude towards navigating gender issues in the workplace.
Recommendation: The podcasts interviewing consultants are honestly excellent listening for anyone (medical or non medical), whilst podcasts with registrars are much more oriented towards understanding how to get into programs etc and are great for junior docs or medical students.
Overall awesome. Will be recommending!
Incredible insight for medical students
This podcast covers so many of the questions that just don’t get answered in the mainstream medical curriculum. Very refreshing to hear from surgeons about their lives outside the professional world as well. Keep them coming please!
Wow...
What an incredible insight into the lives and background of some of Melbourne’s leading surgeons. Such an inspiration to listen to so many accomplished people with such diversity and experience. This podcast also looks to answer so many of the questions medical students and junior doctors have about the surgical training path and lifestyle. The interviewers are really insightful and the questions provoke such a wealth of discussion. Many compliments!! Please do more episodes
