In this episode, Tina Waldrom and Geoff Folland talk about the latest production updates and the heart behind the animated Jesus Film. The upcoming version of the Jesus Film project is set to bring the story of Christ to new audiences in a fresh and engaging way. They discuss how animation can make the gospel more accessible to different cultures and age groups, making evangelism more effective in today’s world. Geoff also shares insights on how the animated Jesus Film aligns with the broader vision for evangelism in Australia, encouraging listeners to think strategically about outreach. Beyond the film itself, the discussion focuses on the leadership lessons learned throughout the process and the need for greater collaboration between churches and ministries. Tina and Geoff explore practical outreach strategies that churches can implement, using media as a tool to start faith conversations and build meaningful connections. Whether you’re a church leader, a ministry worker, or simply passionate about sharing Jesus, this episode provides valuable insights into how the animated Jesus can be a powerful resource for evangelism and discipleship in Australia and beyond.   In this podcast episode, you will discover that: The animated Jesus Film is designed to engage new audiences unfamiliar with His story. Prayer is essential for the selection of the right director and production team. Creating a film that transcends culture is challenging but essential for global outreach. Churches need training to effectively run outreach events. Collaboration among churches can enhance outreach efforts And more…   Discussion Questions Why is it important to recognise that many people today have little or no exposure to the story of Jesus? How can we, as believers, be more intentional about sharing Jesus with those who may never have heard His story? Related Scripture: Matthew 9:37-38 – "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."   What role does prayer play in evangelism, and how can we specifically pray for outreach efforts like the Jesus Film? And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message..."   How does sticking to the Word of God help the gospel message transcend culture and impact people globally? How can we ensure that our own evangelistic efforts stay centred on Scripture? Isaiah 55:11 – "So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire..." Why do many Christians hesitate to invite non-Christian friends to outreach events, and how can we overcome this? What are some ways we can grow in confidence when it comes to sharing our faith? Romans 1:16 – "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes..." How can we create multiple opportunities for non-believers to hear about Jesus, rather than relying on a single conversation or event? What are some practical ways we can be part of an ongoing evangelistic effort in our communities? 1 Corinthians 3:6-7 – "I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow." How can we support the work of evangelism beyond just inviting people to an event? In what ways can we equip ourselves and others to be more effective in discipling new believers? 2 Timothy 2:2 – "And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others." What is our ultimate goal in evangelism, and how does the Great Commission shape our long-term vision for reaching the lost? How can we stay faithful to this mission even when we don’t immediately see the fruit of our efforts?Matthew 28:19

Reaching 5 People with the Gospel in 2025

In this episode, Doctor Tina Waldrom shares exciting new initiatives for 2025 that are designed to help the Church share Jesus in more meaningful and effective ways. She highlights the importance of being intentional in our evangelism efforts, focusing on a simple yet powerful challenge: Reaching 5 People with the Gospel in 2025.  The conversation dives into practical steps for making this happen. Tina talks about how important it is to be patient and trust God’s timing as we share the gospel with others. Evangelism isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach, and Tina emphasises that everyone's journey will look different. By focusing on reaching 5 in ‘25, listeners are reminded that small, consistent efforts can lead to big impacts in spreading the message of Jesus and growing God’s Kingdom.   In this podcast episode, you will discover that: Evangelism starts with prayer and intentionality Building genuine connections is key Your personal story matters Consistency is crucial Faith-sharing is a journey And more…   Discussion Questions Who are the five people God is placing on your heart this year? Reflect on your current relationships—family, friends, coworkers, or neighbours—who don't yet know Jesus. Write their names down and commit to praying for them regularly. Scripture Reference: Colossians 4:2-3 - "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message."   How can you build genuine connections with these five people? Consider ways to intentionally connect with each person at least once a month—whether through a text, coffee, or a walk. How can you show up and listen more than you speak? Scripture Reference: 1 Thessalonians 2:8 - "Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well."   In what ways can you serve your five with kindness and love? Think about small acts of service that demonstrate God's love in action—helping with errands, offering a thoughtful gift, or simply being there in times of need. How can you reflect Christ’s heart through your actions? Scripture Reference: Galatians 5:13 - "Serve one another humbly in love."   What part of your story can you share naturally to point others to Jesus? Identify moments in your life where your faith has made a difference. How can you share these experiences authentically and briefly without feeling pressured to have a dramatic testimony? Scripture Reference: 1 Peter 3:15 - "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect."   How can you invite your five to explore faith in a way that feels natural and comfortable for them? Are there creative ways to introduce spiritual conversations—perhaps through a book, podcast, or a casual gathering? How can you create a safe space for them to explore? Scripture Reference: Matthew 5:16 - "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." How can you be attentive to opportunities God provides for deeper conversations? Are you recognising moments when people open up about personal struggles or questions? How can you be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading in these moments? Scripture Reference: Ephesians 5:15-16 - "Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil."   How will you reflect, follow up, and adjust your approach as the year progresses? Consider how your five are responding to your efforts. Are they becoming more open or still hesitant? How can you remain patient and adjust your approach with grace? Scripture Reference: 2 Timothy 4:2 - "Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction."   *SUPPORT THIS PODCAST – BUY ME A COFFEE – MORE INFORMATION HERE.   *OUR ON
