Here I am sitting in tears

We need to be reminded of what our soul wants instead of what we think is right, or safe. There is nothing more exciting than the feeling of uncertainty.

Two words
09/09/2020
Due to the pandemic, the University course I had set my sights on had been cancelled, I have been struggling with my final school exams and all my friends are being accepted into university while I’m not even sure what to study anymore. My future was, for sure, uncertain. Arthur’s “symptoms of uncertainty” fit me perfectly - I had taken the route of activity avoiding the issue. Instead of looking for similar University courses, I would sit and scroll aimlessly through social media to distract myself. I was waking up from under an hours sleep to go to school where I would sit, waiting to go home, just to dread the next day. Arthur’s words moved me. Specifically the words of his friend “I refuse to waste the gift that is today” I have written this in past tense because as of now, that’s what it is. Tomorrow I will wake up and I will acknowledge the gift that I have been given. I will acknowledge that I am in good health and I will push to make positive change on my life. This is a chance for change. My two words, Thank you.
