High on Histamine ➳ Symptoms, Nutrients + Herbs ep.40

In this episode I’m diving into the what, why and how of Histamine Intolerance, an emerging condition in women particularly, that can be aggravated when our hormones are fluctuating. With the inflammatory nature of histamine intolerance, it can be hard to differentiate this condition from perimenopause, autoimmune disease, allergies and other chronic inflammatory conditions. I go over the typical symptoms you’d expect to experience, and then we dive into what’s called the ‘metabolism’ of histamine, meaning, how it get broken down and removed. Sometimes that doesn’t happen so we end up with too much in our bodies! Also I share recent research on high histamine foods and there’s one major culprit. Can you guess what it is? Enjoy!
