During his 25-year career in the commercial real estate brokerage industry, Greg Martin has specialized in the leasing of office buildings in Broward and Palm Beach counties on behalf of institutional clients, public and private companies, and individual investors. Over the past four years, Greg and his team have represented over 3.5 million square feet of class A & B office product in the area. Before joining Avison Young, Greg served as Senior Vice-President with Flagler Real Estate Services for two years, and he spent a total of 16 years with Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE. With experience in building sales and tenant representation, Greg has a diverse background that includes marketing and promotions, enabling him to serve clients with a variety of requirements. Current and past clients include: TIAA-CREF, SunTrust Bank, Clarion Partners, TA Associates, Mainstreet Capital Partners, DRA Advisors, Banyan Street Capital, Raith Capital Partners, Vanderbilt Properties, Starwood, True North, LFC Development, PGIM, Stiles Corporation, and The Alter Group. During his career, Greg has earned several industry awards and recognition, including NAIOP Broker of the Year (2005 & 2013). In 2017, Greg served as the president of NAIOP’s South Florida chapter and was honored with the National Chapter President of the Year award at their national meeting. Greg also served as chairman of the board for a local charity named Taylor's Closet, where he helped facilitate a recent move into a new facility. Most recently, Greg has been appointed to the City of Fort Lauderdale Parks & Recreation Advisory Board. Sheri Brown is a long-time executive in the philanthropic field, who has been speaking, training, and leading initiatives in the community for over 20 years. Sheri taught middle school with Broward County Public Schools and is currently Vice President of Community Impact at the Community Foundation of Broward. She oversees $13+million in annual grantmaking to nonprofits, develops and implements community initiatives in areas such as education, workforce, the arts, and aging. Ms. Brown also oversees donor services ensuring that Foundation donors are delighted with the impact of their philanthropy.  She serves on a variety of boards, committees, and advisory groups and memberships in professional organizations that include the Florida Philanthropic Network, Children’s Services Council Strategic Plan Chairs, Funders Forum, Asset Funders Network and others. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the North Broward County Chapter of the Links, Inc.   Sheri is graduate of Leadership Florida Class XXXVI and (2016) and a 2008 graduate of Leadership Broward Class XXVI. Sheri graduated summa cum laude graduate of Florida A&M University with a major in English, and her son  is a thriving junior in the FAMU-FSU School of Engineering .   Among the numerous honors she has received, serving as the 1999/2000 Ms. Black Florida was the highlight of her life. Comerica Incorporated announced today that David Kunik has been selected to lead its Florida Market, replacing Patty Nobles who will retire at the end of February after a 33-year tenure at Comerica.   As Retail District Manager and Florida Market President, Kunik will continue to oversee all Florida retail banking centers, while expanding his role to include business and community development efforts for all lines of business within the region. “We are fortunate to have a proven leader already in market to succeed Patty,” said Texas Market President Brian Foley. “David’s diverse background in the financial services industry will be an asset in directing continued growth in Florida for Comerica.” Kunik joined Comerica Bank in 2013 as the Florida Retail District Manager. Prior to Comerica, David’s extensive career in banking included roles in wealth management, commercial banking, human resources, and training and development.  An active member of the community, Kunik, has volunteered with several South Florida nonprofits including Junior Achievement, Boys and Girls Clubs, and SCORE. He also has served as the United Way campaign chair for the bank’s Florida footprint for the past several years.  Kunik earned a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Iowa. With nearly 30 years of state and local government management experience, Monica Cepero serves as Deputy County Administrator. She joined the executive team of County Administration at Broward County in November 2008.  Prior to joining Broward County, Cepero served as the Environmental Policy Advisor to Florida Governor Jeb Bush and was responsible for the policy and budget recommendations of $6.5 billion for the environmental and agricultural agencies. She served as advisor to the Governor on local government issues, prepared revenue and economic impact analyses on a variety of proposed legislation, and environmental and agricultural matters of the state, as well as other major statewide reform initiatives.  Following her tenure in the Governor’s office, she worked in the Miami office of PBS&J (now Atkins North America), as Manager of Strategic Positioning and Public Affairs. Her career in public service began during her post-graduate studies, when she worked for the City of Tallahassee serving in a variety of positions during an eight-year period from the City Manager’s Office to the Office of Management and Budget, in which she oversaw various municipal functions including public safety agencies, park services and utility operations.  In July 2020, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis appointed Cepero to the Florida Commission on Human Relations, for a four-year term. Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the Museum connects 450,000 visitors to inspiring science annually. Prior to his current position, he has worked in the museum field for over 20 years having previously served as the President of the EcoTarium Museum of Science and Nature in Worcester, Massachusetts (2012 – 2018) and as Founding Executive Director of the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (2004 – 2012) where led a campaign to raise over $25million to build the Museum.  He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from St. Mary’s University in London with a focus on environmental law and paleoquaternary biogeography and completed his Masters in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester. Joe was the recipient of a Smithsonian Fellowship in Museum Practice based at the National Zoo and National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC. He completed the Getty Museum Leadership Institute at the Getty Center in Los Angeles. Rhoda Mae Kerr was sworn in as the City of Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Chief on July 2, 2018. With the appointment, Kerr became the City’s first female Fire Chief in the 106-year history of the department. Chief Kerr brings almost 40 years of experience to her position where she oversees a staff of almost 500 professional firefighters, ocean-rescue lifeguards, and administrative personnel and directs day-to-day operations for a department with multiple accreditations that responds to more than 46,000 calls annually. Prior to joining the City of Fort Lauderdale, Kerr spent almost 10 years as Fire Chief of the City of Austin, Texas, managing one of the nation’s 20 largest fire departments, with nearly 1,200 sworn personnel, 113 civilian personnel, and 47 fire stations. From 2004-2009, she served as Fire Chief of Little Rock, Arkansas where she was instrumental in the implementation of a bond program to renovate the City’s fire stations, upgrade communication equipment, and complete a Fire Training Academy. Chief Kerr was appointed as Interim Assistant City Manager during an important transition period for the City of Fort Lauderdale. As of January 2019, she oversaw Public Works, Sustainable Development, Transportation and Mobility, and Parks and Recreation departments until October 2019. Jenni Morejon is the President & CEO of the Fort Lauderdale Downtown Development Authority (DDA). The DDA is a public-private partnership created in 1965 by the Florida State Legislature to promote growth and investment in Downtown Fort Lauderdale—a growing urban center in the Southeast Florida region of 6 million people.  The core purpose of the DDA is to build Downtown Fort Lauderdale into a vibrant metropolitan city that continuously evolves as a global destination while inspiring all to live like locals. Jenni oversees projects that require close collaboration with federal, state and local governments and a diverse group of public and private stakeholders. The DDA’s broad scope of work spans from major capital projects and public space improvements, to business attraction and advocacy for continued growth and livability.  Prior to joining the DDA, Jenni was the director of the sustainable development department for the City of Fort Lauderdale. She led the consolidation of five operating departments into one and was then responsible for city planning, economic development, housing programs, code compliance and building permits. Under her leadership, the department processed a then- record number of development applications and building permits while adopting major updates to the Florida Building Code and city zoning code. Jenni serves on the national Public-Private Partnerships Product Council for the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the management committee for the ULI’s Southeast Florida/Caribbean District Council. She’s served on the board of directors of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce since 2015 and is the past chair of the Chamber’s Downtown Council and current chair of the Fort Lauderdale Downtown Coalition.
