Reparations - should America be made to pay compensation for slavery?

Who would benefit from reparations and who would be required to pay?  

You only have to ask these ideas to realize that the idea of reparations is ridiculous.  

But today's daft ideas have a nasty habit of becoming tomorrow's public policy ....
