Mushroom poisoning mystery

Croc's Gone Wild

A couple of weeks ago , a bloke was swimming in Wangi Falls , NT when he was attacked by a saltwater crocodile . All hell broke loose and 80 or so people rushed for the waters edge , some people getting stuck on rocks while waiting for the croc to piss off. Luckily for the man who was bitten , it was just a little love bite and he had a few scratches on his arms and back according to reports . The attack sparked a croc hunt , with one bloke offering to give the victim the head of the croc once it was found. It also caused an old debate to start back up about the culling of saltwater crocodiles being reintroduced in the Northern Territory as other reports of crocs being where 'they aren't supposed to' came about. In this episode I suggested going to Mataranka thermal pools instead of Bitter Springs as its a lot safer when it comes to crocs. Crocodiles and Crime

Living in the Top End of Australia there was never a dull moment . This was largely due to the massive crocodile population that provided a bottomless pit of content for the NT News . When I started my blog , they featured on every second post and my one and only published book includes crocs in gthe title . So I guess they've helped me out with content over the years and today is one of my favourite stories I've done on crocs because for once , they arent the bad guys . This episode is a cross over between 'Australia's most famous Crocodiles ' ( episode 9 , recorded 812/8/2020) and 'Australia's Dumbest criminals ' ( episode 19 3/11/2020) It was hilarious to research and I reckon Ill be doing more stories of Australian animals getting caught up in criminal activity . Fred Brophy - The Last of the Australian Boxing Tents

How can I host a podcast based on Aussie stories and characters and not do an episode on boxing legend Fred Brophy . Fred was born a showman , and to this day runs the last Australian boxing tent - a travelling troupe of boxers who challange the locals for a turn in the ring for prize money . Anyone with a ticket sober enough can join in . Buit thats not the only form of entertainment - over the years Fred has had an alligator mascot who met his maker at the Cairns show but still managed to terrorize the public several years after his death . Naughty Lions

Its been quite a while since I decided to take some time off to look after our newest member of our fam , Jack . However , when the news broke about the lions escaping Taronga Zoo , I knew it was time to return from my self imposed exile and get back to doing what I love - bringing you guys the craziest , most hilarious and sometimes scary stories from Australia. In todays episode I cover not only the lions who escaped a few weeks ago ( bringing real excitement to the campers at the Roar and snore as well as some grade 4 students who arrived early for a tour ) , but also a few stories from an ex zoo keeper who worked at Taronga zoo and witnessed quite a few escapes himself.
