After God's Own Heart
As we begin our study of King David in 1 and 2 Samuel, we are introduced to him in an unexpected way—he’s a person being overlooked. Nonetheless, God is at work in David’s life, even when the circumstances are chaotic and unimpressive. Along the way, we are challenged to see that even now, God is looking for people like David—people “after his own heart.”

Over the last two weeks, as we have talked about money, we have focused on giving and saving—but what about spending? How does the Bible help us understand our standard of living? According to one survey, the #1 New Year’s resolution for 2024 was “saving more money.” Is that true for you? Right now, would you like to be saving more? With these questions in mind, as we continue our series on The Generous Life we will look at the Bible’s discussion of saving and what it means to save wisely.

Give Generously
On a regular basis, we are bombarded with countless messages about how we can spend our money and handle our resources. In the midst of that information overload, the Bible invites us to embrace three foundational principles so that we can manage our finances well.
