Norm Nathan's Vault of Silliness with Tony Nesbitt Podcast

Norm Nathan’s Vault of Silliness will air the personal collection of the Norm Nathan Show for which I produced on WBZ-AM from 1989 until his sudden passing on October 29th, 1996. Norm spent 50+ years in Boston Broadcasting working at WCOP, WESX, WMEX, WHDH, WEEI, WRKO, WMRE and WBZ. Whether news, talk or music…he did it, sometimes combining them all. Many of the recordings you will hear were sent to me by a fan and friend, Joan McCool. Others are from my personal collection. They will air as recorded, with the warmth an old, analog tape recording provides. Some with good, ol’fashioned home editing of the play/pause button. And ALL with the ever-comforting voice of Uncle Norm. Thank you just so darn much for tuning in!

Norm Nathan's Vault of Silliness with Tony Nesbitt - Ep 197

Let’s get to some house cleaning first for my YT subscibers. There’s an issue with Ep 196 as it has posted to all but the Tube. The powers that be are working on it and hopefully that will be resolved soon if not by the time this episode posts. That means you could have TWO to enjoy this week! Now on to today’s offering. There’s so much packed throughout. Because of that and the fact it’s just so darn much fun instead of a time warp I’m going with Warped Time. What am I talking about exactly? How about a NNS from August 20th & 21st, 1994. Norm regales us with stories and experiences, and we take a bunch of calls beginning with Two callers on at once (They possibly could’ve been guests). Mary Fran Fred from NJ Ursula Norm and a caller dancing to some tunes. Charles from PA Traffic with Rob Floyd and a UFO sighting! Breaking up the calls will be Norm scatting to his Show Open and losing it. Always so funny when he laughs hard. We hear from Lord Henry Kathy asking about Greg the Squirrel Guy A caller telling with a sweet story Another caller talking about the book “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.” Rose from Canada Ruth from South Bend, Indiana Ron Curry talking about how he came up with the idea for the game Initial Response! Games Magazine had named it one of the best family games for 2 years. Rob Floyd and “Alonzo Stagg” Denise playing the game Fred from Medford And Ruth Clennott   Ep 197, Warped Time, contorts its way to your ears…now. Patreon https://www.patreon.com/normnathanvos
