Hi, my name is Jorge Jovel,
as a video production and digital media business owner I meet so many great people from many walks of life who decided to own a business in this field, or work as a freelancer in the video or design world.
At the beginning is just an idea or vision in your mind and with a bunch of elbow grease, it becomes a reality. When anyone sees someone in any field have a bit of success they want to understand the how, the why, the how come and apply it to their lives.
When I started Black Sheep Media House I was coming to the end of a career in the action sports world, photography, video, and design were just hobbies to film my BMX friends and design stickers for helmets. After going back to school in 2009 I set my mind to creating a business in State College, PA but it wasn't easy.
I learned very quickly that I knew nothing about running a business and seriously crashed and burned over and over again, but there was a light at the end of the tunnel and when I got close to that light is seemed it was like a magnet. Things have taken off and I get to work with some pretty notable brands, the trust I build with my clients is genuine " human first".
The best part about video production is the is working with teams, every job is different and I build a team to cater to that job. Everyone I work with has a very special story and I'm much more interested in theirs. So here is one of my first interviewees.
Ken Grau is a video producer in State College, Pa and owns Bull Dog Production House a few years ago he moved from Florida to State College, PA to help Penn State produce their weekly Unrivaled: The Penn State Football Story but after a few years there he realized he wanted his ow business.
