Joe Fraser has had a meteoric rise to the upper echelons of gymnastics. After winning the British All-Round competition in 2017 at just 18 years of age he went on to shock the world by securing a gold medal in the parallel bars at the 2019 World Championships - a first for any British athlete. At Tokyo 2020 he reached the final of the men's parallel bars, another national first, and finished a hugely respectable ninth in the overall final. He was also part of the four-man team which narrowly missed out on a podium place, coming in fourth place. Our host, Ed Baxter, sat down with Joe in his native gym in Birmingham to learn about why he writes down his winning routines first, how he plans on returning after major shoulder surgery and the legacy he wants to build for gymnasts of the future. ____________________
