    Bangladeshi garment workers' struggle during COVID-19

    About three and half a million garment workers have been giving their utmost effort every day in more than five thousand garment factories in Bangladesh. That has made the country one of the world’s leading clothing exporters, second only to China.

    But the standard of living of its workers is not as enormous as it has in the global market. The labor cost is low, and there is no job security in many factories. Almost all garment-workers are living a struggling life. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic has made the situation more difficult for them.
