The Science of Genetic Dominance

Mikroscope

Mike PhD and Kevin PhD are back to discuss genetic dominance in the womb and why some predispositions can be predicted and/or verified while others cannot. As science continues to progress, will the accuracy of quantifiable predictions sharpen? Samantha and her husband are expecting their first child this summer and it wasn't even halfway through their first trimester when they realized the experience of becoming a parent is nothing like they imagined. Endless screenings, tests, judgmental opinions from doctors, nurses and friends and essentially no resource for support. Fed up with being guilt tripped and scared, Samantha turned to the Scientists at WYSP to discuss what was actually going on with her body and her baby and quickly realized that the word "fault" should be struck from the vocabulary of any expectant parent.
