Ask a group of employees if they would like to receive more direct feedback about their performance and the vast majority will say yes.

Ask a group of managers if they provide enough feedback to their employees and they will say yes.  - Both can't be true.

The goal of feedback is to encourage the best behaviors and discourage the worst behaviors.
