Be the Bridge responds to racial brokenness and systemic injustice in our world and believes understanding can move us toward racial healing, racial equity, and racial unity. This podcast is an extension of our vision to make sure people are no longer conditioned by a racialized society but grounded in truth.     Earlier this year, Elizabeth Behrens and Corregan Brown led a course in the Be the Bridge Academy entitled "Politics as Bridge Builders."     Recently, Historian, Author, and Speaker, Dr. Jemar Tisby joined the Be the Bridge Youth & University Program for a virtual event entitled "From Chains to Change: Faith, Freedom, and the Black Vote." Dr. Tisby spoke to our community about the historical context of Black Christian political engagement, the importance of the Black vote, and why it is important for students to be informed and involved. This conversation needed to be an episode of the Be the Bridge Podcast because of the historical perspective, the current realities, and the hopeful reminder that God is at work.
