Data Over Dogma

So glad of this link from Biblical Time Machine. If your wonderfully balanced and very thoughtful podcast accepts ideas for podage, I would be thrilled to offer mine. How accurate and correct is the timeline of JC’s arrest, arraignment, trial and conviction? Seems i) rushed and ii) a potential slur on mosaic law for the treatment of people who ran afoul of those laws. Please please please.

Some might thrill to this sort of ‘analysis’ but hard to weed through the constant banter of these two ‘deconstructionists’ while they raise interesting questions they fall prey too often to surface criticism and avoid the deep dive. Disappointing and often misleading

The rating of “Clean” that the uploader has given this podcast is not accurate, since episode 40 (“The Joel McHale Episode!”) contains strong uncensored swearing. This is a violation of trust. I am disappointed, since I’ve found other episodes of this series to be informative and entertaining. At the very least, if the producers of this podcast are unwilling to keep the discussion clean or to edit the episodes to remove swearing, they should change this episode’s rating to “Explicit”.

So many people assume they know what the Bible says on any given issue. Wish this was mandatory listening for Christians.
