What does it mean to be great?
Greatness might indicate a Hall of Fame career. But it can also be exemplified by blazing new trails o the field, or carving out a unique role in the pages of history. There are many different ways to be great, and everyone’s path is one-of-a-kind.
Two-time Super Bowl champ and 11-year NFL vet, Chris Long, highlights a handful of NFLers who have been on fascinating journeys, and takes you on a trip through their life stories, and explores the true definition of “greatness.”

Bring me back

Love the pod. I’m an ‘84 kid and grew up idolizing Junior. Family trips were centred around catching a Mariners or Reds game in Seattle, Minneapolis or Cincinnati. My first Junior game was in August of ‘97 against the White Sox. He was out in the field during BP chatting with a teammate. Jay Buhner was hitting. He skied a ball and it didn’t look like Jr saw it. He had moved or looked up. Las second, without taking a step, he bent forward and snagged the ball behind his back. Greatest thing I ever saw. I remember waiting outside after to try to get an autograph as the players walked back to their car. Joey Cora wheeled Griff out in a giant cardboard box and he popped out once he was passed the people. It was amazing!!

The Kid = the GOAT

Absolutely loved the story of Jr. getting nervous when Sr. was watching. Couldn’t help but think “man, he got over that quick!” when he played with his dad for the M’s.

Great pod.
