Engaging in Church: WARNING: The Gospel is Better Than You Think

Jesus’ work on the cross was not limited to the forgiveness of your sins, it was an act of reconciliation that allows for intimacy and oneness with God. God’s deepest desire is union with you. It is time for the church to let go shame, striving, and entitlement and take Jesus at his word. For the world to be compelled by Christianity, Christ’s bride must wake up and recognize that all of the work has already been done. Our only call is to rest in his presence. The gospel is better than you think.

I feel so lucky to call myself a part of this church body. The church is alive and so focused on God— truly, the fruit of this church speaks for itself. It is filled with thoughtful, considerate, loving people who serve with joy. It is pastored by wise men of faith who have a heart for the Lord and who don’t seem to want to rest on their laurels but desire to see the Kingdom on Earth as it is in heaven. This church gives a voice and a home to those who rarely find either. Thank God for this church!
