Women are dying unnecessarily from heart disease. It is important that women understand their unique risk, are able to have a conversation with their health care provider, and understand what they can do to take EARLY action in reducing the risk of heart disease.
Dr. Olivia Greenspan, ND, RN shares her story and talks about women's unique risk factors beyond the traditional risk factors (hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, etc). We talk hormones! Estrogen and menopause, pregnancy-related conditions, access to care/early diagnosis, menstrual cycle and PCOS, and more. She addresses the myths and misconceptions about cardiovascular health and leaves you with a few strategies to implement to start on your journey to health.

Olivia is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine as well as a Registered Nurse, with 16 years of experience working in cardiovascular nursing. While working with critically ill patients in the cardiac intensive care unit, she has witnessed the devastation of heart disease on both patients and families. As a result, she is committed to heart disease prevention and heart health optimization so patients do not have to live in fear of this largely preventable disease. Olivia also acknowledges women's unique risk when it comes to heart disease and advocates for and utilizes a woman-specific approach. Olivia is dedicated to advocating for better heart health care for women by educating and empowering women, their community, and other health care providers.
