Varsity Blues (1999)
Even though critics came down on this film hard, most movie-goers gave this movie a TEN!! So who is right? Today we look at Varsity Blues to see if it still holds up as a great football movie, a great teen movie, and a a great James Vanderbeek movie (do such things exist?). At the very least it has an insane performance from Jon Voight with a little bit of Paul Walker sprinkled into the mix. If you dislike football, you don't want this movie!

Samurai Cop (1991)
Some say this is the greatest Bad movie of all time, up there with The Room & Troll 2, but still, we had never seen Samurai Cop ourselves. Having made our film previously with the same budget, we have a soft spot for micro-budget indies, and this one starring Matt Hannon (later Matt Karedas) and Robert Z'Dar (Tango & Cash) has to be seen to be believed. We delved into this cop movie where they don't really cop. Keep it warm.

Wagons East (1994)
This movie is like putting the best football players on a team and then they lose to the New York Jets. A seriously stunning cast of actors, featuring John Candy, Richard Lewis, John C. McGinley, Ellen Greene & Charles Rocket just rolled out of bed and decided to make a comedy with the boldest of approaches. What if we don't land a single joke? Sadly, this movie is more remembered for being the last film made by John Candy (Canadian Bacon filmed earlier). James, Rob, Nicole, and Patrick see if they can watch the movie and figure out where it all went wrong.

Platoon Leader (1988)
The embodiment of "we have Platoon at home", this Cannon Film was a far cry from their normal excess and nonsense as it looks like they tried to make a serious Vietnam movie with Michael Dudikoff (the guy from the American Ninja movies). Then they did the most Cannon thing ever and changed the name after Platoon came out to sound just like it. But is it any good? You'll have to listen to find out!

The best podcast about bad movies
I listened to a lot of bad movie podcast before I found this one.
This is the best bad funniest bad movie podcast out there.
It’s all good.
I mean, sure, Joe gets all ranty and cranky, and they made fun of Bucaroo Bonzai, but listening to a bunch of movie fans go slowly off the rails in real time is always a treat. Come for the terrible jokes, stay for the willful destruction of the English language.
This podcast was made for me
Possibly one of the funniest podcasts I’ve come across. Having grown up in the 80s and 90s and having “enjoyed” my fair share of bad movies, it is so great to listen to my contemporaries valid my opinions that some bad movies absolutely rule!
