5 to 4 stars - Guest disrupting episodes

I just finished the Robert Lee set and the one comment I will make that I did not enjoy it because of the constant interruptions by Prop connecting the story to modern things or his own insight. While it is enjoyable at times, the later episodes get to a point where Robert can’t even read a paragraph without the whole show coming to a stop so Prop can talk and even start ramping himself up to yelling where it just feels distracting. I really don’t want to start skipping episodes based on guests!

Love this show and how Robert explains his research

Also love Sophie and how thoughtful they are about ensuring that relevant people are guests and connected to topics and can add interesting insight. Also love Prop every time he’s on! Listen to Hood Politics too!

HappyGenny ,

I wish the guests were better informed.

Sometimes I’m left wondering what the guests actually contribute beyond simple distraction. There a too many “let’s sit down & joke around like buddies” style podcasts out there all ready. I can do that with my own mates. With upgraded guests & fewer nonsequiturs, this show would rate a 5.
