Knowledge Fight Country: Double Trouble

2016 was a pivotal year for Dan Friesen. It's the year he became fascinated with Alex Jones, and began watching the election of Donald J. Trump through the lens of Jones' show Info Wars. This obsession led to ten years of podcasting and a thousand episodes trying to answer one question: was Alex Jones as awful a person as he appeared if you actually watched his entire show? The answer was yes. In fact, Jones was worse than even the mainstream media painted him out to be. Now, Dan is expanding this quest to other right-wing media pundits, diving deep into their shows and taking their words at face value in an attempt to put them in their proper context. Welcome to Knowledge Fight Country. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

#300: May 21-22, 2019

Today, Dan and Jordan stick around the present day of the Alex Jones Show because they are gluttons for punishment. In this installment, the gents find Alex being a real a*****e about Somali immigrants, speculating about black pyramids, and interviewing a Scottish dog trainer/bigot. #299: May 17-20, 2019

Today, Dan and Jordan check in on the present day on the Alex Jones Show and find a very bizarre but unsurprising picture. Alex is pretty all over the place, passionately defending the idea of Trump enacting martial law, extolling absurd Doomsday Prophecies, and coming off like a real gross bigot. Pretty normal stuff to hear from Alex in 2019. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

#298: January 20-23, 2013

Today, Dan and Jordan stick in the past to gather a little more information about how Alex Jones did business in the days after Sandy Hook. In this installment, the gents see hints of Alex being overeager to cover shootings irresponsibly. They also discuss how off-base Alex is about the Aurora theater shooting, and find Alex becoming friends with a guest who may or may not be running a child trafficking ring. There’s a reason the History Channel has produced hundreds of documentaries about Hitler but only a few about Dwight D. Eisenhower. Bad guys (and gals) are eternally fascinating. Behind the Bastards dives in past the Cliffs Notes of the worst humans in history and exposes the bizarre realities of their lives. Listeners will learn about the young adult novels that helped Hitler form his monstrous ideology, the founder of Blackwater’s insane quest to build his own Air Force, the bizarre lives of the sons and daughters of dictators and Saddam Hussein’s side career as a trashy romance novelist.

History
Natural Causes is a podcast about the politics and practicalities of going outside in a world on fire, hosted by Dr. James Stout. It approaches the outdoors, conservation, agriculture, food sovereignty, and Indigenous land rights as interconnected issues. We want to combine unflinching journalism with unabashed advocacy for the land we all share, and welcome everyone into the outdoors and the fight for our public lands. Our shared wild spaces are under threat like never before, from climate change, the Trump administration, and extractive capitalism. Now, more than ever, we need serious journalism and serious solidarity that engages people with the struggle to protect these spaces for generations to come. New episodes weekly.

A Sad Wonk

The back catalog is now inaccessible behind a paywall. Completely unacceptable and beyond hypocritical. CZM should have started a new show, rather than ruin the previous one.
Forever grateful

Thanks guys. Dan and Jordan made* (/will always have contributed the making of) sense of a senseless world where truth and fiction are no longer strange, only an endless slog with never a breaky in sight. I owe them my sanity. Live Laugh Love 4ever.
