    Episode 379: Dan Wegiel, Holmgard Games

    Dan Wegiel a business executive based outside of Boston, Massachusetts in the States. He is a lifelong fan of the fantasy / sci-fi genre and strategy board games and wanted to be a writer and game developer when he was a kid. His love of games was rekindled 8 years ago and he was inspired to design his own games, which he did at a pace of one a year since. He finally realized his lifelong dream when he connected with Holmgard Press, the home of the best-selling Lone Wolf series of gamebooks. He became a contributing writer to the Lone Wolf anthology published this past year and then partnered with Holmgard to successfully launch their first-ever crowdfunding game, Lone Wolf: Vengeance of the Kai, which he designed.     Zev Shlasinger has been in the hobby game industry for almost 30 years. He founded Z-Man Games in 1999, sold it in 2011, then worked for the new owners until mid-January 2016. At the end of January, he took the position of Director of Board Games with Wizkids.
