Book Club | Strange Sally Diamond

Dark Side of the Word

Join us in discussing this month’s book club pick Strange Sally Diamond by Liz Nugent. After throwing her father’s corpse out with the trash, Sally Diamond doesn’t understand why her neighbors are treating her weirdly. It’s not like she’s the daughter of a kidnapper. But then she reads her father’s letters and the memories she was repressing as a child come crashing back. With the events of her past unfolding, Sally begins to realize that her life might not be all that she was told. CJ and Kait discuss building a good character, whether or not the story was original, and the definition of dark.

For our next book, we’ll be reading Just Like Home by Sarah Gailey.
