I listen to a wide variety of podcasts, but have to say this one is my absolute favorite. The discussion on a wide variety of historical subjects are highly entertaining while having the bonus of being educational!
A great podcast

I've been listening to this podcast for over a decade, and I've lost count of the time it's sent me straight to the library to read more from one of the featured historians. The wide range of topics allow you to pick and choose - but be open-minded! I've often listened to an episode about something that I thought I had little interest in, and had a great time.
Ancient Tombs in China

Fascinating interview Jessica Rawson , author of Life and Afterlife in Ancient China. Jessica Rawson spoke about ancient tombs in China and the lives and beliefs of the people buried in them. I learnt so much history about the geography and politics of these ancients. - R. Green
hard-left bias as usual

Danny Bird talks about Stalin (Jan 2024). Bird talks about the Holodomor as if it was a side-effect of collectivisation - but it was actually a purposeful genocide. The Gulag slavery is mentioned, but no real details about the millions murdered or forcably transferred in other NKVD “actions”. Bird talks about the invasion of Poland as if Stalin is just along for Hitler’s ride - failing to explain Stalin’s motivations. He says that the Soviets worked with the Wehrmacht to get the Katyn massacre done, but actually much more was done by the NKVD and Gestapo, who had been working together since the 30s. Very soft - even blasé - account of a man equal to Hitler and Mao in terms of death
