Three women say they were abused by the same Arizona police officer over nearly a decade. When they seek justice, all of them are kept in the dark about his record of lying and illegal conduct – one goes to prison based entirely on his false testimony. We give police officers incredible power and authority but how can citizens trust law enforcement without transparency and accountability? This season on Verified: Full Disclosure, the story of what happens in one state when law enforcement officials routinely fail to track dishonest and disreputable police officers, and how one tenacious reporter uncovers it all. This well researched and presented podcast should be a wake up call against complacency on the issue of domestic terrorism and the world wide rise of Fascism.

It's okay. I was looking forward to the podcast. But it seems to veer into a political space that focuses on Jews and the Holocaust. It somehow ties Iran and Hezbollah into white supremacy. Which is just odd. They talk about ethnic cleansing. I hope they speak about the Palestinians and Israel

This is a useful and well produced and researched podcast. I give it a high rating. I do have to say, however, that the reporters incredulity that the FDA or OSHA are unable or unwilling to effectively regulate products like talc does not reflect well on the depth of her research. Industries like J + J and many others spend billions on influencing and undermining regulatory agencies if not ouright capturing them as was the preferred course of action during the Trump,or indeed, any Republican administration. Moreover this is an old story going back to the very beginning of the 1st industry revolution when manufacturing and extractive industries fought tooth and nail to prevent regulation to limit child labor, put guards on machines or take any responsibility whatever for the injury of workers much less customers. It says something that after tobacco, lead, and yes, asbestos have all played out the same playbook over a hundred years or so that reporters still can act surprised with a straight face. How about a podcast on regulatory capture or how libertarian sophistry shapes public opinion as far as issues like health and safety are concerned?

I am usually a true crime podcast lover but the way these stories were told kept me interested. Highly recommend .
