    What's Different This Time

Heroin addiction can be a years-long merry-go-round of pain and frustration, and it can be hard to be hopeful when history is stacked againstt us. In this episode, we talk to someone who has struggled with it for 20 years, but has been given another chance because he knows that there is a better life.

That same hope against all odds is why people stay clean and get better lives. It drives us to be happy and content because we know that there are organizations and groups where we can celebrate our achievements and laugh about that pain that allows us to be grateful about the future. Thanks for following and listening!

    Intro & Mission

    Intro & Mission

DFC is a podcast that gives people a chance to talk about recovery. If you are in recovery, it's a meeting that you can listen to. If you aren't in recovery, it's a glimpse into addiction and how people get to that point called a "moment of clarity", where they want help.

All the revenues go to a charity that helps people get off the streets with treatment and jobs. Healthcare is expensive and the economic impact is ambiguous. The creators of the podcast, however, have a gut feeling that treating addiction has a positive impact on the economy. The narrative goes like this: if your addicted to drugs, you steal, lie, and commit crimes. When you are in recovery, you become honest and give back.

This podcast is exactly that: people in recovery giving back to the organization that saved their lives. We want to help people help themselves have profound personality changes that are positive for everyone and the economy. Feel free to donate to our Patreon, which is NOT necessarily a tax deduction yet, but will go to the charity.
