This week Invasion of the Remake takes the mothership to the outer edge of Walt Disney's The Black Hole (1979). Science fiction had taken off in a big way in the 70s & 80s thanks to Star Wars and Disney wanted a piece of that. Ultimately it proved easier just to buy Star Wars, but this attempt is still fondly remembered by sci-fi fans.
