Episode 1 of 2 - Miranda Kamal - Community Hero - Founder of a Boxing based non-profit MJKO - Mentoring Junior Kids Organization

Steal From the Best

In this episode, we talk with Miranda Kamal.  Miranda is a true community hero who has founded a youth-based charity that uses the sport of boxing to create social change in racialized communities.  A sexual assault and a spinal cord injury set her on the path to where she is today.  There are a great number of valuable lessons to be learned from Miranda and we talk about the metaphors for business and life that boxing provides.  We explore the passion to win, to never give up, train, and be prepared for what life may throw at you.  Miranda talks about treating others the way you'd like to be treated yourself and the need to take care of yourself first to best take care of those around you.
