Episode 1 - The Chocolate Lady

Shawinigan Moments

When you ask the average Canadian what they think of when you say the name "Laura Secord", they immediately say something about chocolate.

In this episode, we talk about who she actually was and how she spent most of her adult life without being acknowledged in her role in saving what would eventually be called Canada. The War of 1812 likely ended up being in the British's favour thanks to her work.

If you're from southern Ontario, we're sorry for being ignorant about where everything is. Heather has only been to Niagara Falls once.
