Episode #173: Dr. Bart Fischer, Dr. Monty Dozier, and Miquela Smith (The Panhandle Wildfire Aftermath: Programs & Resources‪)‬ Ag Law in the Field

    • Business

As producers and landowners are picking up the pieces after the Panhandle wildfires, there are a number of resources available to help.  This episode highlights those resources and provides information about how others who are interested can help in the recovery efforts.
Dr. Bart Fischer from the Ag and Food Policy Center at Texas A&M University walks us through the various USDA programs for which those landowners and producers impacted by fires may qualify.
Dr. Monty Dozier explains the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension efforts on the ground, including the livestock supply points.  He also highlights ongoing needs for those who may wish to donate.
Miquela Smith, MPH, reminds us of the importance of caring for our own mental health during this time and reminds us how important it is to watch out for our neighbors during this time.
