Episode Two - How our next generation have been coping Kath's Covid Catch Up

    • Health & Fitness

In this episode, Dr Kathryn Cobain chats to two of Worcestershire’s next generation about how they have been coping during the pandemic.
The under 30’s have often been blamed in the pandemic for the spread of Covid-19. But this is an age group which has also suffered from the effects of the pandemic. Younger people have lost jobs, had education disrupted, lost loved ones and like everyone else have had to press pause on their social lives, which has affected their wellbeing.
Ellie Dart is the county’s Young Poet Laureate. She was commissioned to create a poem sharing the thoughts and feelings of younger people in the pandemic. This has now been turned into a short film. Ellie joins Kath to talk about the poem and how she got her inspiration.
Joe French is a university student, taking an internship with Worcestershire County Council as part of his year out. He is from Nottinghamshire and talks about being away from home during the pandemic and sticks up for all the young people doing their bit as part of the response, who rarely get a mention.
