Cool story

Loved the story itself. The podcasts narrative structure was really irritating. They don’t give a step by step timeline of the murder until episode 3. It was annoying to listen to 2 whole episodes waiting to get the info. The banter is SO ANNOYING. “Gosh Rebecca, can you even imagine?” “I know Jess, what happens next will truly shock you”. It’s hokey and listens like a click bait article. The interviews were good, but also hilarious cause they’ll build up talking to someone and it goes no where and is kind of irrelevant. It was a bit of a chore to listen to but the story itself, once it finally happens, was good. I missed a lot of details because they kept interrupting the story to “banter” and ended up finding out more stuff on google.

Heartbreaking and totally absorbing

Although I’ve listened to other true crime podcasts about John List, this one taught me so much about this horrific crime. Listening to the interviews of people who knew the List kids, were particularly heartbreaking. Kudos to Rebecca and Jessica for their outstanding work on this series.

So far so good

On episode 2 and enjoying the storytelling and research thus far. My only feedback is on the audio levels. I feel like I’m turning it up for one host, down for the other, way up for interviewees.
