It's our Chris Things Art "Match of the Week" Edition w/ the esteemed Unkle of Beeks back for an extra special 'DOUBLE-HEADER' episode talking the 'Takayamania Empire' combo that was Minoru Suzuki vs Katsuyori Shibata & the totally heartwarming 'No-Time-Limit Emergency Match' that was Suzuki vs Takayama. Two very unique matches that kind of transcend wrestling in a very special way. We talk all about these matches, Takayamania Empire III & some fond memories of the amazing man himself, Yoshihiro Takayama. We also talk a myriad of nonsense sidebars, from the VERY SPECIAL DAY that is Blue Panther's birthday, to diabetes testing, to the new Beetlejuice movie, to Dave Meltzer-isms, wrestling travels of days gone by & much more! Jonathan is an amazing Australian artist, writer, cartoonist, curator & the Director of the Rockhampton Museum of Art. It's our Chris Things Art "Match of the Week" Edition w/ Best-Mate-David for another big ol' 'DOUBLE-HEADER' episode talking the two absolutely delightful matches that were the 'American Dragon', Bryan Danielson vs. 'Swerve' Strickland (for the AEW World Championship at Wembley Stadium) & an FMW ‘No Ropes Barbed Wire Current Mine Explosion Double Hell Time Bomb Tornado Death-Match’ with Terry Funk & Mr. Pogo vs Hayabusa & Masato Tanaka at the famed Kawasaki Stadium. Two admittedly slightly different matches, but I think they have their strange similarities too! David & I have a blast talking all about the matches, the art & a lot of nonsense. Episode 40 is here pals! It's a very special edition of the show; commemorating my big, recent 'WRESTLING-CLUB w/ Chris Things' debut event at Brewski last night!
