My guest today is an impulsive writer, family man, and founder of three companies with two successful exits under his belt.
Back in 2007, and while still in college, he founded what would become Woocommerce. After six years growing the company, we exited to start something new and exciting.
The following year, he started Conversio. He grew this company and team until August 2019 when the company was acquired by Campaign Monitor.
It was through his experience in building Conversio that he stumbled onto this idea of creating a business that could be life - and family - first. This idea become the foundation for his brand new book called Life Profitability: The New Measure of Entrepreneurial Success.

Back in the late 90s, my guest left his home in Australia to pursue his dream of working in Hollywood. He had no real plan, and up until that point, he had never left the country. But he took the leap and went after it.
Today he works mainly as a VFX Supervisor and FX Technical Director in Hollywood. Some of the more recent projects I’ve worked on include Transformers 3, The Equalizer, Star Trek Into Darkness, and The Last Airbender.
But he's also an entrepreneur who has sold hundreds of thousands of dollars in products and trainings. Early on in his career he began creating video tutorial to help other people learn visual effects, and eventually began selling products and services.

The Real Story

It's great to hear the real story of any business. . the evolution that made them -- the success they are today. It's great for those new in business or long term professionals. Great Listen. Enjoyable and so much to learn here!!!

Curiosity, passion and know-how combined into one great podcast

Jon Nastor is one of my very favourite podcasters out there on the topic of entrepreneurship – and there are many! He consistently manages to engage his thought-leader guests into a very frank, very relatable conversation about the most valuable (and often tough) lessons they've learned on their journey to success. His interviewing style is genuine and personable. He's the kind of guy you'd want to go out and have a beer with. And I'm in awe of how he pulls off multiple epsiodes a week, each one worth your time and attention. Bravo, Jonny!

Excellent and original interviews with famous and less known entrepreneurs

I enjoy Jon's main questions which always spawn interesting answers. The people who he interviews are less known, which makes them much more relatable and I feel that I can learn a lot from them. I definetely recommend this podcast to get some insight on the mindset of entrepreneurs and how you can apply it.
