Most excellent, just a Hermetic gap.

This podcast is top-notch. Neither the Africana counterpart podcast, nor this, however, has gone into Hermetic philosophy yet. I hope with Bruno and the Christian Kabbalah this gap is filled.
So good!

Great podcast. Really helpful in broadly orienting yourself in western thought.
A valuable source

It’s very useful to briefly take in such a broad range of philosophical tradition. I also find the many recognizable guests to be a great addition. Certainly a unique and well designed project!!
Most Impressive History Podcast

The sheer scope and amibition of this podcast would guarantee 4 stars, but the fact that it delivers so superbly is beyond all reasonable expectation. Infinitely informing.
Sound quality is awful

Poor poor recording quality. Unlistenable.

Useful and important. There are gaps but happily he's taken on the responsibility of filling them in other series, like The History of Philosophy in India.
By far the best philosophy podcast.

It is a fine balance between high quality, in-depth content AND not infused with too much jargon or obscure academic minutiae. The content is intense and demanding sometimes requires a few runs to unpack fully but worth the additional effort. No ads, not too dry (points of humour and wit) and the sound quality is good enough to listen on my bike even in the worst of trafic.
Fantastic series

These podcasts are excellent. They’re casual, but with lots of content. They inspire one to pick up the original works, whether for the first time or to revisit them. They also fill in the gaps between this listener’s patchy knowledge of the classics.
Great.

Admirably Complete

This podcast has been going for a long time, explaining the history of philosophy in an engaging way.
