This week, Alyssa and Haley speak with recently retired pro triathlete Erin Green. Erin is a Registered Dietitian with a focus on sports science and nutrition. She breaks down some common nutrition myths for endurance athletes, explains the value of proper nutrition for every athlete, and gives her best meal prep tips. Erin also tells us about her transition from professional triathlete to full-time dietician and endurance coach.

The Pandemic Race Experience - Sarah Bishop (Mini Episode 26)
Haley is back this week with IronWomen regular and professional triathlete Sarah Bishop. As we’ve learned from her previous IronWomen episode, Sarah loves to race. In this episode, Sarah shares how a recent bike crash and a global pandemic didn’t stop her from racing back-to-back days in one weekend, including the Route 66 Half Iron Distance race in Springfield IL and the Tri Indy Triathlon in Indianapolis IL. She tells us how COVID-19 protocols have changed the race experience and about her motivation to recover and get back to racing after a bike crash in June.
The Gorée Project with Skylar Smith - S13E16
This week Alyssa and Haley chat with Skylar Smith, collegiate swimmer and recent graduate of Howard University. As the former captain of the Howard Bisons swim team, Skylar is taking on a new challenge as one of two African-American swimmers selected by the organization Black Kids Swim to participate in the Dakar-Gorée Swim, a 5km open water swim from the mainland of Senegal to Gorée Island. Skylar and her teammate will be the first African American swimmers to participate in the historic event that retraces the same path that enslaved Africans travelled 400 years ago. Skylar takes us through her training and preparation for the trip and tells us how she’s keeping busy outside of swimming as an up-and-coming YouTube sensation.
