It's Complicated With Orlando Bowen - Intro - Antiracism In Action

It's Complicated With Orlando Bowen

Orlando Bowen, former CFL football player explains the purpose for these complicated conversations.  In our present social racial climate much has been said and seen regarding racism and most of it has been because of what is released on social media and the news.  In Orlando's travels as a speaker, corporate coach and community leader, he has found the state of many Canadians is unaware, unsuspecting and sometimes denial.  Many have expressed to him they believe that racism is a US problem and have a hard time embracing the fact that racism is indeed experienced daily in Canada as well.  Orlando, being a survivor of police brutality, will be engaging in uncomfortable conversations with CEO's, former professional athlete's, youth, Educators, family and friends to discuss where systemic racism is embedded in our daily experience and hopefully how we can be a part of dismantling it.  Orlando is aware the work won't come without conversations and complicated ones, so let's go.
