I ❤️ Vish

There is nothing as honest and unique as Kreative Kontrol. Vish’s interviews are always genuine which can lead them to be insightful, charming, or awkward. Like two friends chatting over a cup of coffee. The conversational tone usually lends itself to artists being more open about things that they likely didn’t expect to be talking about. And that’s where the magic is. These natural moments of honesty that don’t feel contrived or forced. And that’s just few reasons why this podcast is must listen to every week.

Vish #1

Vish is one of the best and most thoughtful interviewers of all time! He asks questions and creates dialogue around topics only true fans or people who actually engage with the work would seek out. You can hear the earnestness with which Vish conducts himself and the appreciation of his guests on the podcast. He’s a true Canadian icon imo and we should appreciate him more. Move aside Nardwuar! Jk…

My tastes seem to align with Vish’s so there’s usually no shortage of fun and interesting guests to listen to. Highly recommend Kreative Kontrol!

Best Music Interview Podcast Going

This is legitimately the best music and culture interview podcast. It needs to be bigger. There’s a 10 year archive of wonderful and intimate interviews of some of the biggest names in music. With a focus on Canadian music, indie rock, and comedy, what’s not to love? Guests are frank, honest, and open up to the host. Vish is an immensely talented interviewer who can keep a conversation going and bring up knowledgable yet unexpected questions which yields great answers from the guests.

Plus I learned about Grandad’s Donuts in Hamilton, Ontario from this podcast. I’ve made multiple trips to Hamilton just for the donuts based on the sponsoring of this podcast.
