    UFOs 2020: Part 1

On episode 172 of SOMEWHERE IN THE SKIES, Ryan is joined by first-time guest, Tim McMillan. McMillan is a former law enforcement professional and investigative writer, covering UFOs extensively for venues such as VICE, Popular Mechanics, and The Warzone. In this massive two-part series, McMillan runs us through everything from the Secret Pentagon UFO Program, the recent NY Times articles, the proposed appropriation bill concerning a UFO Task Force, and we also hear the extraordinary personal UFO event that made McMillan continue to search the skies and wonder what's out there. This is the brutally honest truth behind government secrecy, bureaucracy, and transparency when it comes to UFOs. This and much more in the first part of this explosive two-part series.

    The 11th Green

    The 11th Green

On episode 169 of SOMEWHERE IN THE SKIES, Ryan is joined by filmmaker, Christopher Munch. They discuss Munch's latest film, The 11th Green, which stars Campbell Scott (House of Cards, Roger Dodger) as a journalist who uncovers the truth behind the mythology of President Eisenhower’s long-alleged involvement in extraterrestrial events. The Hollywood Reporter calls it “A thoughtful and compelling what-if . . . provocative and illuminating.” Rife with hidden government secrets and Matrix-like mind-benders, The 11th Green is grounded in what is widely believed to be the nuts-and-bolts core story of post-war U.S. military and government involvement with UFOs. Thought-provoking but understated, filled with sharply drawn characters, stark desert landscapes, and leaps across the space-time continuum, The 11th Green is challenging cinema that generates questions, discussion, and debate long after the credits roll. Today, Munch and Ryan discuss the carefully researched, yet highly imaginative world that Munch created for his film where larger questions are asked about exopolitics, disclosure, the suppression of technology, and navigating the maze of politics, the military industrial complex, distortion of truth, and the most important question, if we aren't alone, and we finally accept this as humanity, what comes next?

    The Tehran UFO Incident

    The Tehran UFO Incident

On episode 168 of SOMEWHERE IN THE SKIES, we are heading to Iran. In 1976, strange lights were being sighted over the city of Tehran. After dozens of reports, the Iranian Air Force sent up several fighter jets to investigate. General Parvis Jafari would attempt to identify the lights, soon discovering it was much more than just lights in the sky. He would soon be involved in one of the most tense standoffs with a UFO ever reported, and the subsequent investigation that would include the Iranian Air Force, the United States Air Force, the DIA, CIA, and NSA. What exactly was seen in the skies that day, and why did it seem that the United States wanted control of the entire investigation? This is the extraordinary story of the Tehran UFO Incident.

Personal touch

I love Ryan’s “human approach to an alien phenomenon” I enjoy how he always tries to get to the personal stories of witnesses and not just get stuck on the nuts and bolts of the phenomenon. I also enjoy his interview style. It’s always like having a conversation with your friends at the pub, while still being very informative.

The ad break sound is like an alarm

I used to listen to this show late at night, but ever since he’s placed these annoying alarm sounds before his commercials it’s become unbearable. It’s like receiving an emergency alert sound on your phone. WTH was he thinking.
