The Al Franken Podcast
A five-time Emmy winning SNL comedy writer/producer, joins a four-time #1 NYT bestselling author, a three-time highest-rated national progressive radio host, a two-time Grammy winning artist, and a former US Senator. So, it gets a little crowded in the booth when Al talks public policy and sometimes political comedy with notable guests. Think “The Daily” without the resources of the NYTimes.

Enjoy your podcast, wish you were still a Senator as you would be a great moderating voice. Thank you for introducing me to Leo Kottke’s music, love your intro.
Ridiculous guests

Didn’t think I’d hear such amateur analysis on Israel and its current predicament. The only thing that made sense was the climate scientist at the beginning of the show. The rest was this naive discussion on 50 ways Israel should be better in the face of terrorists attacking from three directions. No solutions, no empathy, no “if this happened to me what would I do” just some fake high moral ground bathed in the privilege of the safety and security of US academia. Al, you seem to care, why not get some balance to your show and stay relevant.

Losing Its Edge

Al’s content is getting too predictable and repetitive. Invite someone that might have a contrary political stance and get into it. Enough with the tribal, fireside chats. Also, too Jewcentric.
