Are you wanting to get intentional about showing your kids Jesus, but have no idea of where to even start? Is your relationship with God not where you want it to be and the thought of teaching your kids about Him is a daunting one? Are you unsure how to find the time to intentionally disciple your kids when you have a thousand other things that need to be done?

In this podcast, you will find that showing your kids Jesus isn’t as hard as you might believe. My mission is to inspire and equip you to raise Jesus-loving kids through developing your own faith and getting intentional with routines and rhythms.

If you’re ready to ditch your overwhelmed, discouraged attitude and get more clarity and intentional in raising Jesus-loving kids - this podcast is for you!

Hey, I’m Deb. A Jesus lover, wife, mama to two and a gal that loves a good cup of hot, and I mean hot coffee.

I remember what it felt like when I first thought about leading my kids to know and love God. I think the word overwhelmed was a bit of an understatement.

For a long time I figured I didn’t have to do a whole lot cause if I was walking with God, why wouldn’t my kids? To be frank, I was totally winging this whole discipleship thing. But I discovered to create Jesus-loving kids I had to get a bit more intentional.

Throughout my mamahood journey, God revealed more to me on how He wants me to do this. Discipling doesn’t have to be a checklist of what to do, it’s actually a whole lot simpler.

I’m here to teach you to get intentional, authentic and rely on the grace of God to disciple your kids and to actually enjoy the process!

    139. The Habit of Spending Time With God and How It Will Help You Point Your Kids to Jesus (Part 4/5)

Mama, in order to point our kids to something, we need to know what that something is.
Here at Mama's Mission, our aim is to point our kids to Jesus. So as Mama's we need to be spending time with Him.
In this episode I unpack what my time with God looks like. I don't want you to think that yours needs to look like mine, but I share it to help you.
Your time with God should be YOURS. However, I do share a couple of non- negotiables I have with spending time with the Lord.
I pray this episode inspires you on your journey to pointing your kids to Jesus.
    Much love,

    138. 5 Ways to Teach Your Kids How to Easily Memorize Scripture (Part 3/5)

Mama's you have let me know that teaching your kids is something you want a hand with. We all know that it's something we should strive to do as mama's, but sometimes knowing is easier than doing.
In this episode I share how we memorize scripture in our home in 5 easy steps.
Seriously Mama, if you are super unsure on where to start, this is the episode that will give you clarity and hopefully help launch you into teaching your kids how to memorize scripture like a pro.
It's not as hard as you may think and takes only a few minutes a day. And did I mention there is minimal prep.
Basically, you have no excuses Mama. (Sorry, not sorry hehe).

    137. How to show your Kids Jesus Consistently with the Habit of Appreciation (Part 2/5)

    Hey Mama,
We are heading into part 2 of our 5 part series on how to show your kids Jesus consistently with 5 simple habits.
In this episode we are unpacking the A of our SALTY acronym which is appreciation. I share examples on how practicing an attitude of gratitude has changed things in my life and we look at God and His thoughts on the matter.
Practicing gratitude is something you can do aloud or in written form, but it changes things and helps us take our eyes off what we don't have and onto Him.
I pray this episode encourages you.

    136. Let's Consistently Point Our Kids to Jesus With 5 Simple Habits (Part 1/5)

Mama, I have been inspired to do a discipleship version of 75 Hard.
75 Hard is just that, 75 days of Hard Stuff to make you a better version of yourself.
Ours is not going to be for 75 days, and it is not going to be hard.
But it will help us on our journey in pointing our kids to Jesus.
In this episode, I unpack the programme that is easy (and free) and the first habit that we are gonna put into practice.
My heart is that you take this habit, implement it so that it becomes part of your everyday.
I can't wait for you to join me in this!

    135. How the Book of Daniel has Inspired Me in My Journey of Pointing my Kids to Jesus

    Hey Mama,
I’ve recently deep dived into the book of Daniel and I found some gold. Especially on how I can point my kids to Jesus in a better way. He’s inspiring and we as Mama’s can learn a lot from him.
In this episode I share 5 tips on how Daniel has impacted on the way I disciple my kids.
I pray that this episode inspires you to take one (or all) of the tips I mention and implement them into your parenting journey.
Or, that it inspires you to open the book of Daniel and soak up all the 12 chapters have to offer.
Heck, I pray that you do both of these things.
Thanks for listening Mama and coming along for the journey of pointing our kids to Jesus.
    Much love,
    Deb

@speaklifebadges ,

Sweet encouragement

Deb is a sweet voice of encouragement as we disciple and guide our children to know Jesus. I admire how she takes time to hear from Jesus and then shares that with us.

Love the insights!

Just listened to the homeschooling episode, and as a homeschooling mom myself, I love hearing about other family’s journeys and ideas. Great job!
